The Bear River Bruins barely avoided an upset as they came from behind in the second half to defeat the Foothill Mustangs 14-13. The Bruins scored on their first possession but did not do too much more as the Mustangs took momentum and a 13-7 halftime lead. Bear River tied the game on an Austin Baze touchdown, his second of the night and when Alex Bohn kicked the extra point, the Bruins had the lead. On the ensuing kickoff, the Mustangs looked poised to take the lead back, but it was Bohn who had the game saving tackle on the kickoff return and the Bear River defense did the rest. Next up for Bear River is a home game, their first since September 8th against their biggest rival, the Colfax Falcons.
