Bear River 20 Union Mine 0

The Bear River Bruins stifling defense was too much for the Diamondbacks to handle as the Bruins pitched a shutout at Union Mine 20-0.  It was nearly scoreless at the half before Alex Bohn kicked the first of his two field goals to give Bear River the 3-0 halftime lead.  The Bruins struck quickly in the second half, forcing a three and out punt from Union Mine which Bear River blocked and turned into a Travis Carpenter touchdown and a 10-0 lead.  Calder Kunde then hit Stephen Taylor for a touchdown pass on the first play of the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach.  The Bruins (2-0) come back home this Friday to battle Pershing County of Lovelock, Nevada in a homecoming battle.
