Nevada County Supervisor Nate Beason announced this morning that he has endorsed Duane Strawser for election for First District Supervisor.  Beason, who is not seeking reelection, provided the following statement:

“ Duane Strawser is the candidate with the requisite personal skills and knowledge and he understands the role of local government.  His background as a small business owner, his work on the board of the Chamber of Commerce, and his generally long history of involvement in community affairs give him a special insight into local priorities and the most effective method of delivery of local government services to meet those priorities.

“Duane is fair minded and fiscally responsible.  He is an independent thinker who will make decisions based on their merits and that are in the best interests of the broader community.  Most important, I trust Duane.  He is the candidate best suited to represent the diverse nature of the First District.”
