Close says one mandate still in place requires water providers to submit costly supply reports each month. But NID has not had to hit a conservation target since 2015. In the March 29th survey, NID surveyors measured an average of 56 inches of water content on five mountain snow courses. The March 1st five-course average was 33 inches. And NID reservoirs have an overall capacity of 90%, which is 132% of average. This survey is considered the most critical of the season, with one more to be done at the end of April.
