Beware of Potential Medicare Scam

A local Nevada County resident wants people to know of a potential medicare scam that is occurring in the area. A KNCO listener recently received a phone call requesting information in order to send an updated medicare card.

The listener says that he reported the call to Medicare.

One theory around the increase in these types of calls involves scam artists taking advantage of the confusing transition to the Affordable Healthcare Care Act- ObamaCare.
