Bicycle Manufacturing Big in Nevada County

Not only is Nevada County one of the most beautiful areas to ride bicycles or watch classic competitions, it is also becoming a hot spot for bicycle manufacturing. Duane Strawser owner of the Tour of Nevada City Bicycle Shop and Mayor of Nevada City is excited about how far the industry has come since its simple beginnings in Nevada County.

In addition to bicycles, cycling parts and specific equipment are also manufactured by local companies.

Though specific economic impact has not been evaluated, Strawser likens the possible economic contributions to those of larger Nevada county companies.

Strawser says success builds on success  and these successful  cycling industry manufacturers may draw others to come to Nevada County.
