Big Brothers Big Sisters Hires Pal’s Coordinator

Nevada County Big Brothers Big Sisters has hired a new Pal Program coordinator. DeeJay Newell brings a wealth of experience to the program having been a Big Pal during her time at Nevada Union High School. Newell who has since graduated from Cal State Chico  will be pairing qualified Nevada Union Junior  and Senior  students with elementary and middle school students  at Lyman Gilmore, Scotten, Deer Creek, and Seven Hills schools. Newel says the Pal Program is similar to the mentoring matches that occur between adults and children with Big Brothers Big Sisters, except   the Big Pal-Little Pals activities remain on the little Pal’s campus.
