Big Rig Accident Closes Hwy 20

A Big Rig hauling a 40 foot trailer loaded with dirt and rock overturned on Highway 20 near Whitecloud around 7am this morning.  Highway 20 is  closed  as the accident scene is being  cleaned up by Cal Trans crews.  The CHP says  even  local traffic is not being allowed beyond Nevada City up Highway 20 until the accident is cleared.  CHP Sgt. Mike Lawrence says it looks like a case of excess speed as the big rig was headed into a curve.
