Big Rig Dumps Gypsum on Highway 20

Traffic is flowing again on Highway 20 east of Nevada City after a big rig hauling a load of gypsum from Reno to Nevada City lost it’s trailer this morning. It happened around 6:45am just¬† south of Harmony Ridge Road. CHP Officer James Cornwall was one of the first responders on scene.*

There was major damage to the big rig and trailer but the truck driver was not injured. The road was closed for hours while the gypsum was being scooped up by a loader and the big rig was hauled away. Highway 20 was opened to one-way controlled traffic after 10am, and all lanes were opened at 11am.
