Big Rig versus Sedan on 49 Near Alta Sierra

A big rig carrying a load of ice cream T-boned a sedan on Highway 49 near Alta Sierra around 10:30 AM. NC Consolidated Battalion Chief Jim Turner says the impact was significant but no major injuries.

The #2 lane of northbound 49 was blocked as emergency units cleared the scene. Traffic is slow in the area.
