Board Chair: Expect Fire Ordinance This Year

The ordinance would include vegetation treatment along private roads, which the property owners would be responsible for. Beason says the ordinance is in draft form right now, with supervisors submitting their comments. It will then be run by the several fire chiefs in the county before it comes to the board for a public hearing.
