Boasts Preceed Battle of the Badges

Is Placer County too confident about the outcome (Aug. 25) of the  Battle of the Badges showdown Saturday  in Loomis  between law enforcement officers from Nevada and Placer?
You be the judge.

Padilla  says last year’s game matched the long history – and that Nevada County wants to be ready Saturday.

Sheriffs Ed Bonner of Placer and Keith Royal of Nevada will announce the 5 p.m. game in Loomis at Del Oro High School in the Eagle stadium. The game, along with high school football contests the same day, benefits wounded veterans.  Ticket prices for the day are $10 for adults, $6 for students and $3 for children 12 and under.
