Body Found Along Spenceville Road Identified

It was a 60-year-old Lincoln man whose body was found near the Spenceville Wildlife Area the day after Thanksgiving. And the death is being investigated as a murder. The Yuba County Sheriff’s Department says Robert Mendoza was found at the bottom of an embankment along the side of Spenceville Road, near the Yuba-Nevada County border. The department says there were visible injuries, when the discovery was first announced. But the exact cause of death has not been released, with autopsy results still pending.
