Body of Lincoln Man Found in Camp Far West Lake

Spencer Loper, who went missing Sunday morning while camping at Camp Far West Lake, was found dead this morning, according to Sheriff Steven Durfor.

Loper’s body was found partially submerged in the lake several yards from shore by a California Highway Patrol helicopter, just after 10:00 a.m.  Members of the Yuba County Sheriff’s Department Boat Patrol and Investigations Unit were able to recover the body.

The investigation into how Loper died will continue and an autopsy will be conducted tomorrow.
