Thursday night shortly before 10 pm a citizen called 9-1-1 to report a driver possibly under the influence swerving in the road. CHP officer Mike Steele says the call went out as a Be on the Lookout or BOLO alert.
A CHP Officer in the area spotted the suspect vehicle at Highway 20 near Rex Reservoir and pulled behind it to engage a traffic stop.
The Driver, 36 year old James Williamson of Redding, CA was taken into custody and a search conducted of his vehicle.
