Breuer’s Back In Town!

A long time Grass Valley family business that closed in the early 2000’s has returned to downtown Grass Valley and is already doing well. J. Breuer Clothing has reopened bringing back a business that started in the late 1930s.

The business now owned by Julie- the J in J Breuer- and her husband Brandon and their two children who recently returned to the area from Idaho, reopened the shop three weeks ago. So far it has been going well, being back in the shop she grew up in is a great experience.

Along with her fathers handprint is another local notable, current District 5 Nevada County Supervisor Sue Hoek, as well as other employees that worked in the store in the 70’s.
The Breuer’s story is example of how families are returning to Grass Valley to raise their children and operate businesses in order to enjoy the quality of life Nevada County has to offer.
