With the recreation season winding down, that means it’s time for this year’s Bridgeport Fall Festival at South Yuba River State Park on Sunday. Woodruff says the next phase is replacing the old structure, with the goal of re-opening the bridge in 2018 or 2019, depending on the progress of fundraising. Other features of the Bridgeport Fall Festival include a 1930’s gas station built by the Kneebones, barn tours, hay rides, gold panning, live birds, children’s games and a craft table, pumpkin painting, music, and plenty of food and drinks for purchase. There is no admission fee but there is a 5 dollar parking charge. That’s from 11am to 4pm on Sunday.
