Bridgeport Fall Festival This Weekend

Great weather is expected for Sunday’s Bridgeport Fall Festival at South Yuba River State Park. And event publicist John Field says this year’s special attraction is the return of the “Ghosts of Bridgeport”, which he says was greatly missed last year. If you’re not familiar with it…it’s not spooky, even though it is Halloween season…

Other activities and events are familiar ones, including gold panning, basket weaving, and wool spinning…

There will also be tours of the 1860’s barn and a 1920’s gas station, along with an up-close experience with wild birds provided by Wildlife Rehabilitation and Release. There’s also live music by the Buffalo Gals. The Bridgeport Fall Festival is Sunday, from 11am to 4pm, at South Yuba River State Park. Admission is free, but there is a $5 parking charge.
