Broadside Collision Highway 49 and Lime Kiln Wednesday

At approximately 9:15 AM yesterday morning a driver heading southbound on Highway 49 at Lime Kiln Rd broadsided a vehicle that had entered the intersection to make a left turn onto Highway 49. CHP Officer James Cornwall says the driver on Lime Kiln had waited for the light to turn green.

The vehicle struck by the Honda Civic is a Toyota 4-Runner. The driver of the 4-Runner suffered minor injuries to one arm. Officer Cornwall says fortunately both parties were wearing their seat belts.

The roadway was partially blocked for about 45 minutes while the vehicles were removed.
