Brunswick Paving Project Causes Huge Traffic Delay

An asphalt overlay project on Brunswick Road caught a lot of motorists by surprise Thursday. Nevada County Public Works Director Steve Castleberry says   a private contractor is doing the work and they had to pick the work day based on the weather.

The project is on Brunswick from the Grass Valley City Limits out past Greenhorn Road and the old mill site.  Castleberry says one way traffic control was needed to accommodate the work.

The project was started around 7 o;clock this morning catching many commuters on their way to work by surprise. The asphalt work should be completed by 6 o’clock this evening.
