Building Department Starts Permit Program

Nevada County is trying to make it easier to get permits for certain building projects. They have started a program called ‘Over the Counter Wednesday’, where you can come in and take care of a lot of things in hours that normally take weeks. You do have to make an appointment, but appointments are available for the next Wednesday on rather short notice. Griesbach says they just started the program last week, adn things went pretty well..
