Burglary Suspect Apprehended in Meadow Vista

A Meadow Vista man was arrested on commercial burglary charges following a chase by Placer County deputies Tuesday. Public Information Officer, Dena Erwin says the suspect, James Everett Daniel, 30, was seen on surveillance cameras taking a chain saw at the True Value hardware store in Meadow Vista Monday afternoon and later identified by a local resident at a home on Volley Rd.

daniel-james-everettA few hours later, a resident called 911 to report that a man, who matched the suspect’s description, was running through back yards on Volley Road.

While in custody, officers discovered Daniel was also wanted on a Placer County warrant for child endangerment.

The stolen chainsaw was recovered and returned to the True Value hardware store in Meadow Vista.
Daniel was booked at the Placer County Jail on charges of commercial burglary, resisting arrest and the outstanding warrant.  His bail is set at $130,000.
