Burglary Suspect Held Until Sheriff Arrived

A burglary suspect could not out run local citizens as he tried to flee the scene of the crime. Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal says a burglar alarm at a business near the Nevada County air park activated shortly after seven this morning. The Sheriff says when business owner arrived, a burglary suspect fled. People in the area saw the man flee and tackled him and detained him until deputies arrived.

One man has been taken into custody for burglary. Deputies are trying to determine if the suspect acted alone or if more people are involved. The name of the suspect has not been released.
