Burnal Equinox Event At Fairgrounds Saturday

It’s not time for Burning Man- but it is time for the Burnal Equinox. Burnal Equinox is the midpoint between last year’s Burning Man Event in the Black Rock Desert and the 2014 event. There is a Burnal Equinox event taking place this Saturday afternoon and into early Sunday morning at the Nevada County Fairgrounds. Event spokesperson Coryon Redd says the event does not replicate Burning Man exactly, but there are over 50 artistic theme exhibits set up that use controlled fire as art.

Redd says many themes are interactive such as a modified children’s game called Bop It.

Event organizers claim they are working closely with the state fire marshal and other agencies to insure all activities are safe and do not present a fire danger.

The event is Saturday from 3:00 PM until Sunday at 3:00AM. Many participants and attendees are camping at the Fairgrounds Campgrounds.
