Burned UHaul Nevada Co Includes ATM Theft

A rather unusual discovery for the Nevada County Sheriff’s Department. Sheriff Keith Royal says officers had responded to a report of a small U-Haul truck that either caught on fire or was set on fire, on Red Dog Road near Chalk Bluff Road…

Royal says deputies soon after learned that the U-Haul vehicle and the ATM had been stolen from Roseville, with the cash removed from the ATM….

It’s theorized that the suspect, or suspects, loaded the ATM onto the U-Haul and drove out of the Roseville area, ending up in Nevada County.
