Busy Weekend for Emergency Personnel

It was a busy weekend for local fire Departments.  Nevada County Consolidated Battalion Chief Jim Turner says fire crews were called out to 19 different Duty Chief Assignments that requires more than two engines responding to an incident.

There was also a smoke alarm call to Crystal Ridge Care Center on Dorsey Drive Sunday  morning.  An Air conditioning Unit had overheated sending smoke into the rooms.  Patients were evacuated for about 45 minutes until the smoke cleared.  Add to that  a couple small grass fires, multiple vehicle accidents and a medical rescue from the Town of Washington and that filled out a busy weekend for emergency personnel.
