This weekend is Memorial Day weekend, and to help people remember their loved ones, Hospice of the Foothills is hosting a Butterfly Garden of Remembrance. Garden Co-Chair Paula Bertness says the garden is a familiar sight to locals.
Over 600 metal butterflies are donated to the Garden by the community. Butterflies are being made by Nevada Union students.
It is free to participate in and visit the garden, but they do accept donations.
The Butterfly Garden of Remembrance takes place this Memorial Day Weekend, May 23rd through the 25th, from 10 to 4 every day. It is at the Hooper and Weaver Mortuary on Hollow Way in Nevada City. For more information on the Garden call the Hospice Office at 274-5121.
