BYLT Hosts Turkey Trek Today

If you missed the MEB  II Turkey Trott yesterday you can still get in on the Turkey Trek hosted by the Bear Yuba Land trust today. Trekkers are encouraged to come out anytime between 10 am and 2 pm the day after Thanksgiving.  The Turkey Trek has become a community holiday tradition for folks who want to get outdoors and work off the turkey dinner. The free self guided outing is on the Bear Yuba Land Trusts very first trail,  the Litton Trail in Grass Valley. The easy walk meanders along an NID canal, weaving through an urban greenbelt shared by businesses, Sierra College, Nevada Union High School and a retirement community. The first segment of the trail is paved and wheelchair accessible. Look for BYLT staff and volunteers at a table located at the Hughes Road trailhead.  Maps will be available this morning at the trailhead,  they do suggest you dress warmly .
