The first event is next Wednesday, October 11th, which is called the “Fireside Chat”. Peterson says it’s a gathering of people who’ve been participating in the “52-Week Challenge”, to hike on one of the BYLT trails at least once a week. On the 15th, there’s a hike on the Orion-Weatherall Trail on Banner Mountain for bird enthusiasts. And the last event is the 3rd annual “Ales for Trails” at Old Republic Brewery in Nevada City. Some of the money raised will also go toward the long-term project to connect trails between Nevada City and Truckee and restoring the wooden wheelchair ramp on Independence Trail.
