Cab Driver Thwarts Break-in

A Grass Valley cab driver waiting for her next fare was able to stop a break-in before the suspect could enter a business early Wednesday morning. Grass Valley Police Sgt. Steve Johnson says that the cab was parked in an Olympia Park Drive and the driver noticed a suspicious man lurking around the buildings.

Officers arrived and located a male suspect, 18 year old Sean Taylor, a transient from the area. At that point Taylor was placed under arrest for prowling, but the officers made an additional discovery while searching the suspect.

As a result, two additional charges, possession of stolen property worth more than 400 dollars and  carrying a concealed dagger, were added to Taylor’s arrest.
