California Secretary of State Speaks At NU

Nevada Union High School was the latest stop by California Secretary of State Alex Padilla, Tuesday morning, as part of High School Voter Education Weeks. The campaign runs through the last 2 weeks of April and September. Padilla didn’t have a specific reason for choosing NU. But he notes that although people 18 to 25 years old have the potential to be the largest voting block, they historically have the lowest turnout rate, especially in rural areas. A table was set up after the assembly where a number of students lined up to pre-register. Padilla also answered pre-written questions from students.
