California Vote Important Dates

NEVADA CITY, CA—The League of Women Voters of Western Nevada County (LWVWNC) announce the following dates of importance in relation to the California Primary Election:

May 9, 2016   Early voting begins in two locations

– Nevada County Elections Office, 950 Maidu Avenue, Suite 210

– Truckee Town Hall, 10183 Truckee Airport Road

May 9, 2016   Vote-by-mail ballots are expected to mail

May 23, 2016   Last day to register to vote in the June Primary Election

June 7, 2016   Election Day—polls will be open from 7am until 8pm

The LWVWNC has committed to inspiring the largest voter turnout per capita in the state of California in the 2016 election cycle.

 

League members are responding to all requests to assist in Voter Registration and are currently scheduled to be in the following locations to assist voters in confirming registration, to respond to voter questions and provide registration materials.

 

April 2, 2016   9am – 4pm

Voter Registration, Truckee Chamber of Commerce, 10065 Donner Pass Road, staff from Nevada County Elections Office will be on hand.

April 6, 2016   5:30 – 8 pm

Voter Registration, Sierra Harvest Soup Night, Miner’s Foundry, 325 Spring Street, Nevada City

April 7, 2016 4:00 – 12:00 midnight

Voter Registration, Golden Era Cocktail Lounge, 309 Broad Street, Nevada City

 

Voter Registration cards are available at the counter of Tribal Weaver, 105 Mill Street in downtown Grass Valley and at Kitkitdizzi, 219 Broad Street in downtown Nevada City.
