Those numbers are statewide, and so far, there has been little fire activity around here. You may also be a little surprised to know that CalFire has not banned burning yet this year, but Fire Safe Council Executive Director Joanne Drummond says it takes * two * agencies to allow a permissible burn day…

With the forecast calling for the heat to continue, Drummond says don’t expect to see a permissible burn day very soon.
