April is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and a special event for men is being called for Wednesday evening.
The event is being hosted by the Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Coalition. DVSAC Executive Director Gayle Guest-Brown says her husband Ernest Brown has had special training in this field and will facilitate the event just for men.
The event will include the showing of a movie that highlights why well-meaning men can’t just be on the sidelines.
The community forum on violence against women will focus on how we got here and ways to change.
For more information about the event and to RSVP call 272-2046 or visit the website.
