Protests, complaints, and letter-writing campaigns have all paid off. Caltrans has put Highways 20 and 49 back on their priority list for future projects. Nevada County Transportation Commission Executive Director Dan Landon tells KNCO that this is huge news for future funding projects…
Landon says two of the commissioners attended a California Transporation Commission meeting in Oakland this week, and after the presentation, the state commission voted to put the Nevada County highways back in. Landon says Caltrans and the C-T-C got all of the letters from Nevada County, Grass Valley, Nevada City, and others…
The priority list is called the 2015 Interregional Transportation Improvement Program. Highways 20 and 49 were not included in the report when it first came out in June.
