Candidates Face Off on the Ridge Tonight

San Juan Ridge residents will get a chance to meet the candidates tonight without having to travel out of town. The San Juan Ridge Family Resource Center is hosting a community forum, featuring several candidates running for office in the June election. There will be a short presentation on Measure Q, which if passed would increase the property tax assessment for the fire district, followed by the candidates for Superintendent of Schools, District Attorney, and County Supervisor District Four. That leaves about 45 minutes for the supervisorial candidates. The format is simple–questions will be taken from the audience. This is the first forum that the Family Resource Center has held, and the first forum on the ridge in a number of years. Pasquini says she’s hoping for a big turnout…

The ‘San Juan Ridge Candidates Night’ is from 7 to 9pm at the Oak Tree Lodge (18847 Oak Tree Road). Doors open at 6:30.
