Car Almost Slides Into Lions Lake at the Fairgrounds

A single vehicle accident on McCourtney Road Monday evening almost ended with the car submerged in Lions Lake at the Nevada County Fairgrounds. CHP Officer Greg Tassone says that a 28 year old male lost control of his Honda Civic around 6:40 PM.

The driver was the only person in the vehicle and was able to extricate himself from the car and was lying on the ground when officers arrived.

Cause of the collision remains under investigation, but DUI has been ruled out.
