Car Off Highway 20 Result of DUI

A driver under the influence lucky to be alive after colliding with a tree and going of Highway 20 just east of Nevada City. CHP officer Greg Tassone says the male driver and solo occupant of 1999 Subaru Legacy sedan heading towards Nevada City lost control in a series of turns.

The driver did receive minor injuries but was attempting to avoid medical treatment.

Because of the nature of his injuries, the driver was arrested but released for medical treatment.
Tassone says the driver was very lucky things didn’t turn out worse.

Tassone says it is fortunate no other vehicles were involved, but it’s unfortunate the driver was allegedly driving in such an inebriated condition.
The collision occurring Monday afternoon around 2:00 PM.
