Caring and Sharing With Grass Valley Police Officers

The Grass Valley Police Officers Association is beginning its 22nd year of Caring and Sharing for the holiday season. Association President Brian Hooper says Caring and Sharing helps under-privileged children in the city.

Approximately 20 children identified and selected by Association members to be be part the program.

This year Caring and Sharing is celebrated on December 7th and includes a full morning of activities.

After shopping, Durham Transportation Services then buses the kids over to IHOP for breakfast.

The Wishing Tree is located in the lobby of the Grass Valley Police Department on South Auburn Street. If you would like to sponsor a child, you can pick a name off the tree and provide an unwrapped gifts back to the department by December 3rd. Hooper says the Caring and Sharing event is successful because of the generous businesses and people that live in our community.
