More information is being learned about a accident on Highway 49 near Carriage Road, Tuesday afternoon. CHP Officer Justin Barnthouse says the 61 year old woman from Nevada City driving a 1987 Chrysler start to run off the road, and over corrected. She careened across the highway hitting a beverage truck, flipping the truck on it’s side. Officer Barnthouse says the accident was so violent the passenger side of the Chrysler was ripped apart.

The driver of the car was taken to the hospital with serious injures. The CHP says if there had been a passenger in the Chrysler they would have not survived. The accident remains under investigation.
In another incident, a driver on Brunswick Road did not see the driver stopped in front of her nor the flashing lights on the school bus. More information has been learned about a accident on Tuesday involving children getting off a school bus on Brunswick Road as first reported on KNCO. CHP Officer Justin Barnthouse says a 75 year old man from Grass Valley stopped behind the school bus . Officer Barnthouse says the lights were flashing and the stop sign was deployed on the bus.

Neither of the drivers suffered serious injury. No children were hurt and the school bus was not hit.
