Downtown Nevada City will be lined with vintage automobiles tomorrow (Saturday). It’s the third annual Nevada City Foreign Car and Wine Stroll, with a portion of the proceeds going to United Way of Nevada County. The cars will line Broad Street from 10am to 3pm, but United Way Executive Director Megan Timpany says you’ll be able to see the cars a lot earlier than that…
The United Way is partnering with the Nevada City Chamber of Commerce and the Sierra Sports Car Group to put on the event. Sierra Sports Car Group President Nick Conklin says there will be about 100 vehicles to check out…
Conklin says there will be a 1913 Fire Engine that was used in New Zealand when they first changed from horse-drawn to gas powered vehicles. There are also motorcycles, and people can vote for the Best of Show in both the car and motorcycle categories. In addition to the cars, you can enjoy many local wines as part of the wine stroll from noon to 3pm. Tickets to the wine stroll are 15 dollars in advance and 20 dollars the day of the event. The car show is free.
