Cascade Shores Fire Quickly Contained

Monday morning at 9:30 a.m. fire units were dispatched to a reported residential structure fire in the 14000 block of Lake Lane in Cascade Shores.  The first arriving unit reported smoke showing from a two story residence. Grass Valley Fire  Battalion Chief  Steve Smith says Crews made a quick, aggressive interior attack and held the fire to room and contents.

The home had some smoke damage through out. There were no injuries reported, crews remained on scene for 3 hours.  NID had recently upgraded the pipes and fire hydrants in the area and Battalion Chief Smith says that was a big help.

No one was at home at the time of the fire. The cause is under investigation.
