Residents of Cascade Shores are invited to the firehouse tomorrow for the community’s first Firewise Education Day. Cascade Shores Homeowners Association Firewise Committee Chair Joan Hardy says there will be several speakers talking about fire prevention, and there will also be things to keep the kids entertained…
Hardy calls it “a day of information” with speakers from the Forest Service, Firesafe Council, the insurance industry, and County Supervisor Nate Beason. Cascade Shores is applying to be certified as a FireWise Community, and Hardy says this is the latest step in the process…
After the assessment, they then set goals, and an action plan to achieve those goals. Hardy says they hope to receive their certification this summer. Tomorrow’s Firewise Education Day is from 10am to 1pm at the Cascade Shores Firehouse.
