Celebrate Memorial Day

This Memorial Day the annual tribute to veterans will be held at Memorial Park off the Colfax Highway in Grass Valley. The program should run about an hour. Coast Guard Veteran and speaker Claude Hessel says the even starts promptly at 11.

After the ceremony, the Blue Star Mothers will lead an organized walk to memorial bridges in the area surrounding the park. Boy Scouts troop number 855 will provide refreshments. If you are planning to attend, it is suggested that you bring your own folding chair.
