The Sierra Family Medical Clinic on the North San Juan Ridge is celebrating 30 years of success this Saturday October 13.
The Clinic… sometimes referred to as The Little Clinic that Could…. provides medical, dental and behavioral health services to patients from throughout Nevada County. Dr. Peter Van Houten decided to hang his shingle on a renovated storeage shed in hopes of helping those who could not nessarily afford health care services. Even he is surprised by the clinics success.

The Clinic has come a long way from the old shed to a state-of-the-art facility including a mobile dental van and tele-medicine center.

The 30th Anniversary Celebration is free and takes place at the Ananda Village Green Area on Tyler Foote Road from 11:30 -2:30.
