The seventh annual Celebration of Trails is happening all day Saturday. Nevada County Supervisors recently approved a resolution for the event, put on by Bear Yuba Land Trust. The group’s Executive Director, Erin Tarr, told the Board that this year’s theme is Choose Your Own Adventure…

In addition to hikes, choices include a trail run, horse rides, wheelchair and stroller rolls, and a bike ride. The event celebrates diverse trail users and the registration fees raise funds that help BYLT build and maintain trails. Also, from 4 to 8pm today, there’s a kickoff event at Robinson Plaza in Nevada City, where free t-shirts for registrants will also be given out.
