Centennial Dam Watchdog Activist Summit Tonight

A couple hundred people concerned about the Nevada Irrigation District’s proposed Centennial Reservoir project on the Bear River will be in Nevada City this evening as part of a forum on the subject. Dardick will be on the panel, along with a couple of other SYRCL officers. There will also be representatives from the Nevada City Rancheria Tribal Council, Sierra Streams Institute, and American River Watershed Institute. There will be a panel discussion followed by a question-and-answer session. Dardick says this is a follow-up to an N-I-D meeting earlier this month, where many people were opposed to the project…

No one from N-I-D will be on the panel. The event is tonight from 6 to 8pm at the Nevada Theater on Broad Street.
