Center 31 Bear River 28 OT

The Bear River Bruins’ football season came to an end, losing a heart-breaker in overtime to the Center Cougars 31-28.  The Bruins jumped out to a 18-0 lead but could not hold it, as the Cougars scored 25 unanswered points.  But, Bear River rallied on Senior Night to tie the game, and even had a chance to win in regulation, but Shane Flores’ 32 yard field goal attempt hit the right upright of the goalpost and bounced left.   In overtime, Flores kicked a field goal to give the Bruins a 28-25 lead.  Center answered with a quarterback sneak on 4th and goal from the one for the win.  The Bruins finish the season 1-4 in the Pioneer Valley League, and 3-7 overall, the first losing season for Bear River in 28 years.
