About 7 members of the Nevada County Republican Central Committee went to the Bay Area Last weekend to attend the State Republican Convention including past chairman of the Central Committee and State Delegate, Rich Ullery.

At that point Ted Cruz and John Kasich had not yet pulled the plug on their campaigns.

Ullery says Donald Trump was the luncheon speaker at the Convention… and as they arrived at the Hotel early on Friday morning they were greeted by a number of protesters holding some amazingly profane signs. But he says security was tight,

Ullery says Police were able to push them back and Trump was eventually allowed to speak.

But a few days after that, on Tuesday, Cruz suspended his campaign after the Indiana Primary results came in, and John Kasich quit the race yesterday. Ullery says he is also a delegate to the State Republican Convention and he says the party, if they are going to elect their nominee, will have to unite,  and that’s not going to be an easy job.
