Chase Ends in Arrest Inside House

The Highway Patrol has arrested a man in South County after a brief chase. According to a news release, at around 3:15 this afternoon, officers pulled over the driver of a black Jeep Wrangler on McCourtney Road at Wolf Mountain Road. After checking the registration, it turned out the vehicle was stolen. The driver then took off in the vehicle, and the chase went southbound onto McCourtney Road, onto Lime Kiln Road, and then to a residence on Vintage Drive. The suspect fled into that residence but was taken into custody a short time later without incident. 36 year-old Joseph Haskins of New Orleans, Louisiana was booked into the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility.
